Curriculum

Curriculum Documents

Here you will find long term overviews for each year group.

Early Years

Our Early Years provision covers both Nursery and Reception in an open plan, phased learning approach. All aspects of EYFS are covered as well as an introduction to Forest Schools.

Key Stage 1 & 2

In Key Stages 1 and 2, children follow the National Curriculum. Most terms have an overarching theme or topic to focus the learning.

Maths Support

SEND

At Greenfields we believe that all children have an entitlement to learning experiences which will enable them to achieve their full potential in terms of social, emotional & academic development. The inclusion team offer support across all areas of learning: literacy & maths interventions, speech & language strategies, Social Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) support as well as supporting other issues that have become apparent.

Home Learning

We value the part that parents play in their child’s education. Family visits to libraries, museums, parks and other places of interest are rich in opportunities for learning and these can easily be linked to work done in school.  Homework is important in teaching children how to plan and organise their time; develops good study habits and self-discipline; and reinforcing school learning.

Clubs

We offer a number of clubs both during the school day and also before and after school.
