Look how busy everyone has been with preparations for their own VE Day celebrations! We’ve had letters, bunting, place mats, name cards, medal designs, menus calculated and made. WOW. I have been so impressed Year 1!
I also have to say how wonderful it has been to hear about the family learning they have been doing too, with Alice who is in Year 6 teaching our George all about it, Reece and Lois sitting down together as a family and talking about their history, Elsie writing to her Grandad about the war, Ivy-Rose being able to hold and discuss some medals that her family were awarded, and so many more. This is such invaluable education and really reminds us how close to home these things are.
