3D printing at Greenfields

Indoor Athletics Trip

On Thursday, Year 4 took part in an indoor athletics competition against other year 4 classes in the local area. They did Greenfields proud, they showed such great team spirit and even won some medals!  

Route 66

In geography, Year 4 took a journey down the famous American highway Route 66. We used atlases and digital maps to plot the route from Chicago to Los Angeles, we then chose cities along the way to research.

Fun Filled Christmas

  Year 4 have had a great week getting into the Christmas spirit and playing spot the elf. We have been sewing Christmas decorations, writing Christmas poetry and learning the words for our songs for our Christmas performance. We also  had fabulous final day, with a pantomime, party and Christmas lunch together.  

End of term fun!

Reception have enjoyed the last few weeks of term getting into the Christmas spirit and building up in excitement for the end of term and Christmas.  Alongside our lessons, we have been taking part in lots of Christmas crafts, learning about the Nativity story, and being busy little elves in our Christmas performance. Roll Up, Roll Up… Christmas is Coming!

Now that December was here, the end of term would not be the same without a Christmas Fair, a class Xmas party and of course a good old sing song and a show featuring a medley of classic Christmas hits. And in the words of Slade themselves: ‘Merry Christmas Everybody!’

Investigating soil

Year 3 investigated soil types yesterday afternoon, exploring it’s properties and how permeable different soil types were.  

Visit to World War 2 Bunker

As part of our learning about our locality during World War, we headed just a few miles away to Hillingdon to explore an authentic bunker used in World War 2. After a workshop in the classroom, we headed below to explore before some photos with aircraft outside and a visit to the museum there.

Purcell School of Music Concert

We enjoyed a lovely trip to the Watford Colosseum this afternoon, to hear the Purcell School of Music’s Orchestra play.  We particularly enjoyed all the Disney tracks!

Tri-golf festival

This half term, Year 4 have been practicing their golf skills. We had a lot of fun today putting our skills to the test against other schools. We performed fantastically and even won some medals!     even won some medals!
